My healing journey
I was first drawn to yoga for the physical challenge, but it was the therapeutic effects on the mind that kept me coming back for more. Whilst training with Hot Power Yoga in 2016 I realised that yoga was helping me to search for freedom. Freedom from rigidity and patterns of holding trauma in my body, freedom from years of repressed emotions, freedom from my own mind and limiting self-beliefs, and freedom within areas of my life that had become stuck. I began to develop a more positive outlook on life and reclaimed my sensual feeling body as my home. It was like coming back to life and my exploration of freedom, personal growth, and somatic release remains.
Training
I love to play and explore within my own practice, and have now completed over 600 hours of training including: Yin Yoga with Sarah Lo and Norman Blair, Forrest Yoga with Jambo Truong, Rocket Yoga with Amber Gean, Mandala Vinyasa & Shamanism with The Yoga People, Mindfulness Meditation with Michael Stone, Embodied Anatomy with Mollie McClelland Morris, Body module of Embodied Flow’s 300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training with Tara Judelle and Scott Lyons, Yoga Nidra Training with Craig Norris, and a 6 month mentorship programme - Liberate and Elevate - with Naomi Absalom. Most recently I have completed two Spiritual Shamanic Sexual trainings with the International School of Temple Arts (ISTA) and Sound Healing Level One with Selda Goodwin.
My yoga style
Drawing influence from these different disciplines, my classes are always creative and infused with flavour! I teach strong, flowing sequences and create a nurturing space for students to challenge themselves as much or as little as they wish. My calm teaching style and gentle, playful nature encourage students to explore different ways of moving whilst finding their own balance between yang and yin. I like to include time for free movement and exploration within my classes whilst sharing the other aspects of yoga, somatics, and energetics that have helped me on my own healing journey so far. I love teaching the slow reflective practices of yin and meditation, as well as holding space in circle for people to share what’s in their hearts.
Reiki healing
After experiencing energy healing for the first time in India, I became fascinated with how energy moves through the body and in awe at the capacity we have to heal with our hands. I have since completed Reiki Levels 1, 2 and 3. And now, as an intuitive Reiki Master, I am passionate about sharing its healing magic through one to one treatments, reiki and sound healing workshops, and Reiki 1 & 2 training courses. People often comment on my energy and ask what my secret is - my answer is always Reiki. I now also combine reiki with sound healing and the impact is beautiful.
